Well, here it is Monday…again. And I apologize as my honest talk will probably not be very motivating this morning…unless you are in the same boat I’m in. My sprint into a Fit&Fab summer is lagging…dragging up the rear…not happening. This is the story of my life. I am focused the first week and then after that each week gets harder and harder. Pretty soon, it’s all I’m focusing on and then I’m in a bad place because I feel guilty for every single thing I put in my mouth that I shouldn’t.
I have been thinking about what the key is to getting on track and staying on track. And, honestly…I know the answer…it’s no secret. It’s a state of mind. When I make up my mind to do it – I will. I see that determination in my friend, Becky, who is doing the new modern day version of Atkins and in my mother, who is also counting carbs and eating a heart healthy diet. And what I know is my mind is not there yet.
So here it is, people… this week I’m still going to journal my food in myfitnesspal.com I’m going to commit to activity 3 times this week. And I’m going to focus on getting my mind in the right place. I’m going to fill myself with good, healthy food and I’m going to attempt to get more sleep. Getting the right amount of sleep has been linked to weight loss and I really do believe there is a reason that they call it “beauty sleep.”
